The Introduction contains a brief history of the development of Chinese calligraphy from the ancient era up to the modern time, followed by detail descriptions of Materials and Equipment necessary for learning Chinese calligraphy.

There are 30 lessons in the learning process.
Lesson 1 to 19 deals with the learning of writing from how to manoeuvre the brush properly to the basic brushstrokes. In between lessons there are sheets of further Chinese words to expand your collection, as well as interesting projects to stimulate your creativity to use the Chinese calligraphy to produce beautiful artworks.
Lessons 20 to 25 guide you through the rules in writing Chinese calligraphy so that if you come across a word in the future not mentioned in this book, you will be able to work out how to write it with the proper order of each brushstroke.
Lessons 26 to 30 introduce you to the five essential styles of Chinese calligraphy. There is a brief description of each style, its distinctive characters and the special techniques used to write it, followed by a very appealing project to exercise what your have learned.
To conclude your learning process, Rebecca introduces you to her unique way of mounting a Chinese Xuan paper artwork onto thicker paper. This is a more straightforward and effective method than the traditional one. Many achieved complete success.
