The jades pendants in this page is more modern. "Modern" I mean within the last fifty years. I have a feeling that Jade 11 is probably older than fifty years. The carving of jade ornaments in modern time is different from that of ancient time. In modern time, ornamants are made for commercial purpose. There is no need to have a commission before making an ornament. So design of an ornament can be repeated.

The first six jade ornaments are special. Designs are created according to the colour distribution on the jade. So every pendant created in this way is unique. Each one has a dragon on it. The carving of each dragon is very intricate.The designs of the last six can be repeated. You can actually see some of these designs in the page of semi-precious stones.

Each pendant is priced separately. You may like me to make a knot with a cord to go with it so that you can wear it. I suggest to tie it with a Pan Chang knot. Pan Chang is one of the eight treasures of Buddha. It is a symbol of a complete life cycle, meaning you will enjoy life to the full. It will be very appropriate to tie a Pan Chang knot to the pendant of your choice. When you wear it, may the knot and the pendant brings you the blessings symbolized by the pendant and last it to the full. I usually use the 2mm thick Chinese silk cords but may have to use thinner cords for those which have very small holes. You can tell me your choice of colour for the cord when you contact me. I charge £10 for making the knot with a length of cord so that you can wear it as a necklace. Make sure you tell me the length of the necklace you would like it to be.
