Chinese papercuts has a very long history since the invention of paper. Originally papercutting was more a folk art practised by almost everybody. There are many uses for papercuts in every aspect of life. Window decoration, book illustration, embroidery, charms are just some of them. The modern papercutting artworks are more refined and artistic. In my papercuts, I use a mixture of techniques. Some are traditional ones originated from China, Japan and other Asian countries, but many techniques are inventions of mine as a result of years of developing this art. I always aim at beauty, elegance, and simplicity in my own works. If you want to purchase any of the papercuts, please email Rebecca for further information.
