I started painting silk a few years after I started learning painting. I learned the Chinese traditional method of painting silk from my master. We treated the silk before painting so that we can control the effects of colours. Now, I am combining these skills with the western silk painting techniques to produce my artworks. My main interest is to make scarves and small squares. The bigger scarves can also be used as wraps, wall panels and sarongs. The squares can be turned into paintings or made into cushions. I draw inspirations from nature for most of my designs. Each scarf is hand painted and hand finished. All silk paints are fixed and colours fast. I used to design jewellery projects with my sister. She teaches jewellery making. We use mainly semi precious stones and we like our designs to have oriental flavour. I have written a book with instructions for making jewellery. Please click BOOKS to view it. This book now is out of print but you can still get a copy from me. Here I am showing you some items of jewellery I designed.
