I started painting silk a few years after I started learning painting. I learned the Chinese traditional method of painting silk from my master. We treated the silk before painting so that we can control the effects of colours. Now, I am combining these skills with the western silk painting techniques to produce my artworks. My main interest is to make scarves although I do accept commissions to create designs for garments, cards and many other items. I draw inspirations from nature for most of my designs. The bigger scarves can also be used as wraps, wall panels and sarongs. Each scarf is hand painted and hand finished. All silk paints are fixed so they are fast when wet.
